Water Distiller vs Reverse Osmosis Filter
Pitcher Water Filters
Reverse osmosis and the filter water pitchers seem quite
well known these days as the best ways to get cleaner and healthier water.
People want better quality filtered water, but do not know that different
purification methods produce different results. All water purification methods
are not the same. There are several ways to enhance water quality. One common
method is to use a pitcher with a filter. These are carbon-based filters and
can remove some chemicals, especially the organic chemicals. This method
improves the taste and smell of the water, but still, there may be a lot of
contaminants remain in their drinking water.
Water distiller vs Reverse Osmosis Filter
Reverse Osmosis
Another method of water filtration includes the reverse osmosis. This method uses high pressure to drive the water through a narrow
membrane. It removes some mixed salts, bacteria, organics, and pyrogens. RO
includes cross filtration rather than the standard filtration. The contaminants
are trapped in the filter media in the standard filtration. On the other hand,
in cross filtration, the contaminants are wiped away to prevent the build-up
and to keep the membrane clean. RO is very good at eliminating a lot of dissolved
salts with the new membrane, but cannot be trusted to remove viruses and
bacteria for long, especially when there is no residual chlorine present in the
water. As RO membranes become old, the pores inside them become larger and let
more and more water impurities to pass through into the treated water.
Water Distillers
This is the most effective water purification method by far.
Water distillation simulates the hydrologic cycle; the water evaporates through
the boiling process while leaving several contaminants behind. Then it
condenses away like the clouds form, and then the water gets in a tank in a way
like the rain falls. This process creates a 99.9% pure water. No other
purification or filtration system can compare to water distillation at home.
Distillation method produces the healthiest and the cleanest drinking water on Earth!
As the global warming starts to affect weather more and
more, the quality of water is becoming a big an issue. As there are increasing
amounts of natural disasters striking the world, how the water can be protected
for drinking? Having a smart water distiller gives the highest quality of clean
water which is better than just boiling it, where several toxins can build up.
During a boil alert, people who are using RO filters or pitchers still need to
boil their water for maximum safety. Using smart water distillers, no one will
ever need to boil their water.
Distillers remove the following contaminants:
- viruses
- bacteria
- lead
- pesticides
- chlorine
- arsenic
- nitrates
- uranium
- salt
- pharmaceuticals not removed by water treatment plants
And many more things!
